Writer Amy Blasco lives in Arroyo Grande with her husband, Peter, and cats, Tortilla and Ziggy. The two big inspirations for her book were Tortilla and the San Diego Zoo, which she visited frequently as a child.
- Jill (Iversen) Wingfield, Illustrator -
Jill Wingfield is a children's book author and illustrator living in Custer, Washington. Some of her other books include "Goldie Hatches a Brood" and "Lucy Learns to Fly." She and Amy met while working together at the
